Hello, I'm Skye Grossman
I'm Skye Grossman, a full-stack developer from Maui. I grew up on the island's countryside on a homestead, skipping school when the surf was too good to pass up. I've always loved delicious food, so I got a culinary degree and became a chef, from dive bars to fine dining, where you learn to work fast under pressure and own whatever leaves the kitchen. Then an opportunity in towing came along with repossessions and off-road recoveries, and after that I found my way into construction. After pondering the future, I decided to try my hand at writing code, and it stuck. Coding Dojo's 16-week bootcamp made it a career.
Today I enjoy building web apps end to end: UI, API, data layer, and the services behind them, in TypeScript, Go, and Python. I use AI coding tools every day, and I think the hard part of that is no longer writing code but trusting it. So every change gets a real review before it ships, and nothing merges that I can't explain or defend. That's how I ship full features fast and keep them secure. Off the clock I keep learning: right now I'm studying system architecture and building agents with LangChain.
